08 Oct Cranberry Sauce
Cranberry sauce is easy to make at home and adds a nice personal touch to your holiday meal, I like to make mine with a hint of citrus. It's not just great with your turkey dinner but also with some gluten-free turkey, cranberry and brie sandwiches.
Pour the bag of cranberries into a small pot, and add the sugar
Zest the orange and add it to the pot, then cut off and discard the white part (the rind) and chop up the orange and add it to the pot.
Add the water and over medium heat bring the pot to a simmer, the cranberries will start popping, take a spoon and stir to break them up, once it has thickened take it off the stove, it will continue to thicken as it cools so don't overdo it.
Serve with your turkey dinner.
